ET irrigation scheduling varies depending on the irrigation system used. For full coverage irrigation systems (sprinklers, furrow, and border flood), the soil water storage capacity plays a key role in scheduling irrigations. Microirrigation systems (drip and microsprinklers) do not depend on the soil storing large amounts of water between irrigation since irrigation occurs frequently.
